01/08/2012 Let's meet at Siggraph 2012

CRC Press, OpenGL Insights' publisher, is organizing a book signing for OpenGL Insights on Tuesday 7 of August between 2pm and 3pm, booth #929. Patrick and I will be present and we hope to see as many authors as possible! :D I think it will be a great opportunity to meet our readers too!

I will also give an exhibitor talk on Wednesday 8 of August between 11:15am and 12:15pm at the Booth #967. Despite that it is an exhibitor talk, I focussed my efforts preparing it to proper technical stuff. I believe that a very interesting part of this talk will be the one about the Programmable Vertex Pulling rendering pipeline that provides a practical and effective solution to significantly increase the scene complexity. We will go through GPU architectural details to highlight why this pipeline is relevant and how OpenGL is making possible this step forward for scene complexity. We will also discuss how we could stretch further this pipeline. 1 million draws per frame, here we are coming!

Indeed, I will be at the Khronos Group BOFs including the OpenGL 20th anniversary party where copies of OpenGL Insights will be given away!
